Having seen Downtown St. Charles, it's time to have a rest at this confectionary restaurant. Most guests of Smallcakes note that perfectly cooked cupcakes, chocolate cakes and fudge are served here. Gracious employees work hard, stay positive and make this place great.

Would highly recommend this cupcake shop!! I recently ordered gender reveal cupcakes from here and they turned out so cute! We did a mix of chocolate & vanilla cupcakes with vanilla frosting and blue / pink sprinkles. The cupcakes were a hit with our family. I loved that they also offer gluten free cupcakes on Fridays & Saturdays! Definitely will be ordering from here again. It's Super Bowl Sunday. Last week I placed an order specifically for today. Paid for the order in full. Asked about closing time on Sunday, was told 5:00 pm but maybe 6:00 since it was Super Bowl. We arrived today to pick up our fully paid order at 4:40 pm to be met by a closed store. Everyone gone. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH YOU AGAIN. You took my money. No cupcakes. And you didn't even have the common decency to call to give a heads up if you were going to be closed 20 min before your posted store closing time. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PLACE. You best believe I'll be there this week asking for my money back! Service: 1

I really enjoyed the parfaits and my kids enjoyed the cupcakes. They were super tasty, with tons of frosting. Total sugar rush, but an enjoyable one. Great place to stop if you are cruising through downtown St. Charles, to get a nice snack. We will definitely be back.

I give small cakes a Cupcakery five stars. Everything about this small but high-quality Bakery is quaint and dedicated to details. Besides the fact that you should respect any small business owner that can keep a business going in a small downtown area like that one in st-charles they deserve a lot of credit. Are cupcakes were fantastic, and had lots of great flavor and frosting. These cupcakes would be good for a gift, and for a birthday party.

I would usually give Smallcakes 5 stars however today, Sunday 9/10/2023 I purchased two pink vanilla gluten free cupcakes, as the regulars were sold out. The sign on the wall and the Smallcakes website states 2 cupcakes cost $4 each for a total of $8.00. The woman in the store did not tell me that they were $1 more each for gluten free. When I looked at my transaction online I was surprised to see a charge of $10.18 for 2 cupcakes! The service has always been so pleasant and the cupcakes are great but not worth $5 each. Disappointing and questionable business practice.

I contacted Smallcakes to speak with someone about making a small 4 inch Personal custom cake. I called at 10 AM on a Saturday and I was frantic because I needed the cake for Sunday evening. I spoke with Vicki the cake decorator, and she was extremely helpful and assured me that she would be able to have my cake finished the next day because it was a simple design that didn’t require a lot of time to make. I picked up the cake before closing the next day and when I took a look at it, I was very shocked at how beautiful yet simple the design was and I’m just happy that Vicky was able to make my last minute gift happen. Smallcakes staff is wonderful, especially Vicky the manager if you would like a beautiful custom cake, please contact this store.

Absolutely loved their cupcakes!!! 1st time going to this location, as I’m a baker for my job I’m pretty picky, and they definitely did not disappoint!! Will definitely be spreading the word about the delicious treats they have here!!!
