"Not worth the visit"
Our guide for the day recommended this restaurant and online reviews suggested it was okay. Sadly, we were very disappointed.
Service was incredibly slow – in fact, staff didn’t even seem to care much for our presence. This was the first time we’d ever experienced this attitude in Cambodia!
On top of that, once our meal was actually served, it turned out to be the worst food we’d tasted on our entire trip. My chicken dish was just the scraps of the bird and mostly bones – I spent most of the time picking small bone fragments out from my teeth. My friend’s soup tasted weird and was mostly made of egg, which she had asked to be left out. On top of that, the chilli sauce on the table was an odd color and tasted very chemically. We both ended up eating mostly rice – in the end, it turned out to be the most expensive rice we ate in Cambodia!
Food and staff aside, the restaurant itself is not very atmospheric - large trucks and bikes were roaring passed on the main road as we ate.
I would choose somewhere else to eat, if I were you.
When I see "chicken" in khmer menu I don't really expect a boneless breast schnitzel, but what these guys served me was basically bones 😳 I would leave really hungry, if not for a pile of green peppers!
The local Khmer restaurant in Pursat Province. It's near the provincial Pursat market. The taste is acceptable with a local price. It would cost around $ 2.5 per pax for lunch. The food is exceptional great as it is prepared by Khmer traditional cuisine but it might taste a little sweet if you are not familiar with it. MSG additive might be added to some meal. So keep in mind; if you don't get accustomed to Asean food, I don't recommend this restaurant, as it is fully added to the local species and taste.
The food is passable, , but ,be prepared to re - order several times.Either the waitresses get confused or are too busy on their I iPhone to pass your requests to the chefs.
