Had friends from Australia visiting. Decided to have dinner there. One of our party from Australia was so impressed by her drink order of bitter lemon ( non alcoholic) which she regularly has at home. Said was the best drink ( even better than Australia). Service was excellent and food was fantastic. All left extremely satisfied. Thanks for an awesome experience. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had lunch at the Speights Ale House, The service was great, the staff were very welcoming and had a smile on their face. The atmosphere was good, great music, very spacious with lots of tables/Seats available. The food was nice, Steak was a little chewy and the green Veges were hard but other than that it was good. Most of the food was great. Drinks was great, service was great, waiter was amazing (the guy leaving to Scotland!) Pasta was very oily, thought an Alfredo would be creamy not oily ¯_(ツ)_/¯. We enjoyed our meals as both the Angus burger and Thai salad were delicious. We tried the Rosebud cocktail, 1 alcoholic and 1 not, a great recommendation! Excellent service. They don't charge a credit card fee. This is a bonus. There were six of us. Two would not recommend Pork belly, too salty. The other was the cherry chicken, nothing in it and dry. The kitchen staff still won't cook a well done steak. Tried a couple of years ago and thought by now you would have aimed to please your customers. So once again we left to go to a more accommodating restaurant. Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

In paying the bill they made a mistake but kept arguing that we hadn’t paid for a beer. They charged for 2 Speights ales when they should have used 2 different names of beer for payment. This left an ale not showing paid. But they had receive the money. They added the beer after we had started paying for goods. Disappointed in being asked to leave because they were slow at bringing the food. We were still eating. Given about 45 minutes to have a 3 course meal. Not ideal. Very friendly, helpful and smiley service. It is always nice to see! Excellent food. Kids menu is actually very nice quality food. Not just “chicken nuggets”. We came in late 2 minutes before the kitchen but they were still able to service wonderful hearty meals with generous portion. The customer service was top notch! Well done to the ladies at the bar. The pub was clean, spacious and original. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
