This place is absolutely delicious! If you're visiting Sangkhla Buri, you should definitely try it out. The flavors in their dishes are incredibly distinct and authentic.
The spicy minced pork salad (Larb Moo Kareang) has a delightful tanginess that pairs perfectly with a variety of fresh vegetables.
The wild mushroom (Hed Khone) stir-fry with oyster sauce is outstanding, with the mushrooms retaining their juicy texture.
Hed Khone, a local mushroom exclusive to this region, is a rare treat available for just a few weeks each year (September to October). Its flavor is reminiscent of truffle but with a more subtle aroma.
The stir-fried fish with Thai celery is a real treat – the fish is fresh and devoid of any fishy odor, and the rich aroma of leaf makes it even more delightful. While the prices might be slightly higher, the quality and portion sizes make it well worth it.
It's no wonder this restaurant is the first choice in Sangkhla Buri! 🍽️🌶️🍄 #FoodieFinds #SangkhlaBuriEats

Sri Daeng restaurant is located in Sangkhla Buri District, approximately 3 hours' drive from Kanchanaburi. The restaurant is one of the few spots in the area, and it also has a hotel on the second floor. It's conveniently located near popular attractions such as the Mon Bridge and the temple underwater.
When we arrived, the restaurant was crowded and almost packed. Despite this, the staff managed to serve our food promptly. Unfortunately, it seemed that they didn't pay attention to our order, as they missed some of the dishes we ordered. However, all of the dishes we tried were slightly salty.
Overall, Sri Daeng restaurant is a decent option if you're looking for a place to eat in Sangkhla Buri. The restaurant's location and proximity to attractions make it a convenient choice. However, the staff could be more attentive to customers' orders, and the food could use a bit less salt. If you're in the area and hungry, it's worth giving a try.

Right before or after visiting the famous Mon Bridge you have to try Sri Daeng restaurant. A must stop during your trip.
All dishes were delicious and the service was good.
Highly recommended.
Food was OK but not more. Lacked some spice. Even the spicy green salad didn't have any chillis in. On the other hand, they do have some unique dishes if you want to try. Maybe I just didn't order correctly? The service was good.
The taste was quite good, but the price was not reasonable for the portion you get. The staff could not manage the situation during the busy hour (7 pm), the orders were lost, and the foods were very delayed.
The menu looks pricey at first. Some dishes at 180-200 THB. But when the food arrive on the table, the portions are really big. Good quality food. Three dishes + 4 rice plates + a large beer for 545 THB were enough to feed four adults.
Love this place so I come here often. Love the Myanmar spring rolls the best.
