The best meal (and yet probably one of the most affordable) you could get in Port Barton. You must definitely try their tuna! It's fresh from the morning, cooked on the barbecue in front of you, and served with rice, vegetables, a slice of pineapple and banana grilled on the barbecue as well. You will probably sit next to a group of people you don't know, which will make you talk to them and get to know their stories. We met people there that have been eating at Star Apple Canteen every single day because they found the best restaurant and they didn't want to take the risk of being disappointed somewhere else. By far the most authentic and friendliest experience in the Philippines. The owner Paul makes you feel so welcomed. We had exceptionally deep conversations with him, which made the experience even more special. Paul first opened this place on his own, and it's now a pretty lovely cantine where you can have the finest philipinne food for cheap. Definitely come here for the grilled fish! We got a whole grilled tuna for ₽400 and it was one of the best meals we've had in the Phillipines. They also have calamansi juice! Owners were friendly. We opted for grilled tuna. Some of the best and freshest fish l have ever eaten. Service is fast and there is a quick turnover of tables. Not the place to linger over a meal. Prices in Feb 24 were 250Php for a huge tuna steak with rice on the side. 5 Star, no question! Fresh grilled tune steak was amazing and we also tried the Philippines siginiture dryed fish what was delicious! Luckily we found this place in our first day in Port Barton, so we can go back every day! :) Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
