Located inside the Connecticut Convention Center, this Starbucks has about the quickest options to get a good beverage and a snack inside the convention center. Since outside food and drinks are prohibited from the center, Starbucks is in a great area for your convenience, inside the hallway between the Marriott, and the convention center/parking garage entrance. Due to its location it is pretty busy, but the line moves fairly quickly.
It took us a minute to find, but it was totally worth that minute. The lady behind the counter was so helpful and nice. The coffee me and my friend got was delicious. I also got some baby carrots, and they were so fresh and made an awesome snack. Overall, this is the best Starbucks I've ever been to, and I seriously recommend it.
Rude barista!!. I went to this location to avoid other not desirable location. When I arrived (11:30am)older barista kept me waiting for 3mins while she cleaned. I placed my order which she rushed,Grande caramel macchiato w/oatmilk honey&raw sugar.I tried to tell her &she ignored me. Pass my order to another barista I didn't see how much it was,it was loud&she mumbled. I get 1/2way to place check my receipt, I'm CHARGED for 2 Grande caramel macchiato Coffee. $2 for a splash of almond milk. I rushed back get there after 12noon. I tell her the problem&she's giving me an attitude for the inconveniences she caused me!.
I'm trying to stay calm while she's being RUDE &other barista is laughing away. Older barista walks away w/out a word&the girl tells me she's going to speak to the Hotel manager. 4mins later,she tells me the Marriott Hotel manager cant do anything to come back tomorrow. WHAT??!.I'm fuming&upset how I'm being treated. I tell her I'm not coming back next day, I brought my Coffee today&you purposely charged me 2 Grande Coffee on my Starbucks app. She starts complaining how she doesn't want to be there&was there all morning.I dont care about her 5 hr shift& gets off at 12noon,NOT my problem. I'm continuing to be patient while she seems to be carrying on like she wants to physically fight. Her attitude was Unprofessional,RUDE &ghetto!.. She goes on she can't do anything because manager left her there&if she does refund me,she can only do one. I was not expecting a refund for the 2 charges. Yet,I did NOT receive NO apology!.She proceeds to carry on, finally finished transaction& sarcastically say have a nice day because I've been here all day,its nice&hot outside..Slams register, starts bad mouthing about me as I'm leaving..
I arrived my place at 12:45pm w/a cold 1/2 cup of Caramel macchiato Coffee..
I will NEVER go to downtown Hartford Marriott Starbucks again especially if I plan another visit to the hotel !!..
Staff was extremely rude. Woman at the cash register acted like me having a gift card was the end of the world for her. After, while waiting for my order, I saw one guy try picking up his order and something that he'd paid for was forgotten. The barista handing out orders snapped that she wouldn't do anything about it and he'd have to get back in line if he wanted her to help him. The line was through the lobby and wrapping around the side into the hotel hallway, and then down that whole hallway. The guy took one look at it and just sadly walked away without his item. I felt so bad for him. I felt really lucky when my order came out with everything I'd paid for
