Was an alright experience, worthy of a 3 star. I went in at 5.30pm, granted they were busy. Got a sub of the day as my dinner, I was pretty hungry so I was looking forward to all the salads on this bad boy. Unfortunately salad guy was super rushed, loaded me up with lettuce as they do but minimal amounts of everything else. Literally two olives. And when I say two, they are sliced so two slices of an olive, probably a quarter of an actual olive. Bro. Had to ask the next person to put a few extra on. Couldn't be bothered to ask for more of every salad item but man, more than 3 pickles too and have some pride when you're putting it on, not throwing everything on one third of the sandwich. So yes, it was busy but a bit more care could have been taken to make my sub lets be fair. Bald middle aged guy I'm looking at you. Other staff were great. Maybe stick to till next time or idk. Ingredients were fresh as most likely this store cycles them quite regularly and vaccine pass checked as a condition of entry. Excellent service from staff and very friendly. One of the better places in terms of fast food in whanganui that is actually fast. Keep up the great work! 😊 👍

Wednesday 21st June. Had a young lady learning the ropes and staff were being very good with her being that she was very new at the job. Good to see. Teriyaki Chicken - a bit thin on the filling. The young lady didn't quite have the gist of filling the scoop up fully but she wasn't fully corrected by the older staff member showing her how to do it. I generally like subway. Came in for dinner on Friday night approx 6.30pmish. There are usually really nice staff but this particular girl who we have not had before was not nice like she couldn't be bothered. She didn't say hi just what ta ya after looking grumpy. She was slapping the ingredients on and it wasn't that busy a steady flow. She didn't look up just gabbled and was very snappy that my Husband said I beg your pardon. She never said thank you and also snapped at one of the regular nice girls on the counter. Four words: Best Subway in Whanganui! I love the staff and quality from St Johns Subway. The Sandwich artists (as they go by) are so talented, when I watch them I go into a trance. It isn’t until I break myself from that spell that I fully appreciate the food. Chicken teriyaki with honey mustard and bbq goes hard and the toastys from here are next level, nothing is cold.
