Located in Braga street, this legend bakery shop is very famous. With fresh bread that they serve every day, lots of people order in the morning, and always empty at noon. The old school place has not been renovated since the colonial era. But, this is one of the values that they have. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

legendary bakery in the city of Bandung, existed during the Dutch period. legendary bread and cake variants with interesting Dutch menu names. this place is categorized into the cultural heritage of the city of Bandung, and is still well maintained. You have to visit this place and feel the sensation of the heritage building as well as the bread, ice cream and cakes.

First time walking in the restaurant, i could smell the fresh baked bread in the air, give me such a homey feeling. My eyes and body automatically moved to the cookies and cake stand where customers gather and eyeing those desserts. They dont put any name tag for each cake and cookies they sell, so you have to ask one by one, then the very patient staffs will answer you. Cookies and sausage brood are sold in ounces. This time i ordered everything for take away, next time i will have it there with their coffee while adoring the vintage interior, vintage people, vintage everything Note: they only accept CASH for the payment
Curious about the place since it's said to use Dutch recipes that've been passed down. Unfortunately there wasn't a plenty selection of pastry available that day. I ordered sumber hidangan spesial (ice cream, Rp 32.000) mocca gondola (Rp 14.500) and frou-frou (Rp 13.000)—all were surprisingly cheap! The pastries were good but the ice cream was too icy. It rained when I came so the place seemed darker and older than it actually is—a renovation here and there would really improve the ambience. Also there weren't many staffs so it took a long time to order and ask questions about the pastries.

I’ve been seeing videos about this place on the internet. As someone who’s interested in history, this legendary bakery caught my attention. I finally went here and ordered a few things with my friend: 1) Suikerbol (10k): Cinnamon and sugar bread. Just the right amount of sweetness and nice texture. The outer part is slightly crispy and almost resembling a puff pastry (based on the appearance) until you bite into it and the softness of the bread hits your tongue. The taste of cinnamon is there and you can already smell it from afar, but it’s not overwhelming. 2) Bitterballen (17k/ons): We can buy it by weight (ons). There are small bits of chicken inside, and the texture is somewhere between firm and creamy. It’s still enjoyable even though it’s not warm. 3) Marasquino (17k): [I forgot to ask what flavor it was because my friend chose it for us, but maybe it was maraschino cherry and vanilla? Not sure] There are three scoops of the homemade ice cream. The rum flavor hits from the bottom of the glass during the first few bites. The texture reminds me of the traditional Indonesian ice cream. The sensation is similar to devouring a black forest cake—perhaps from the cherry flavor in it—but in ice cream form and minus the chocolate (of course). [We were very delighted by this one, especially by combining it with the suikerbol] 4) Pastel (14k): The whole concept is like the regular Pastel Sayur we usually find in Indonesia, but this one is somehow so much better??? Inside there are veggies (I forgot what they were but the carrots could not be missed), boiled egg, and macaroni that have been cooked until they are very soft but not mushy. The outer crust/wrapping is crunchy and slightly different than usual, with the right amount of thickness. And the seasoning! Really really great. [This one surprised us the most. When we arrived there was only one left and we decided to try. It was a bit greasy, but we liked it nonetheless. We even talked about it later when we had left the place. It was that good!] My friend also ordered Kopi Susu for herself, but I can’t say much about it since I don’t know much about coffee. Overall, we had a pleasant experience here. Great food and ambience. The actual vintage interior and “classic” food options really work out. Truly a fun, simple, but memorable visit. The workers are friendly as well. Sumber Hidangan lives up to its name. Go ahead and come to this place. [EDIT]: (I went for the 2nd time and tried the Bokkepoot this time because back then it was sold out) I ENJOY the Bokkepoot so much. The price is 33k/ounce and it contains a lot of the cookies per bag. Pretty sweet since it is what seems to be the combination of meringue and something-berry jam (?), but the very slightly bitter chocolate coating helps to balance it out. It has an interesting texture and flavor. Go try it!
One of the oldest bakery in Bandung, a hidden gem. The building is tucked away in Braga street with strong old Dutch atmosphere. Every single thing in this bakery is old: the furniture, recipe, menu (written in dutch!), even the waiter is old. This place has two side: the bakery, and the restaurant. The restaurant sells ice cream with various flavor and the price is mostly on IDR tens of thousands! And they serve free mineral water as every dutch restaurant in Bandung does.
Sumber Hidangan is one of the place that you should visit when come to Bandung. You should try their ice cream, it tasted so unique and delicious & of course don't forget their bread too..
