Sweetest most wonderful staff and truly one of the top 2 or 3 Carrot cakes I've ever had in my life (note it's made with raisins, which I like). Arguably the best.
Amazing peanut butter flourless cookies which then leads to amazing nutty buddy sandwiches when that's in season.
Other seasonal faves: Peanut Butter & Jelly Cupcake, Blueberry Pancake Cupcake, Magic Bars, and the Apple Crumble Pie at Thanksgiving is insanely good. Wish they had some of the seasonal stuff more often.
The Old Fashioned Chocolate Cake is a very good, moist, classic chocolate cake. The German Chocolate cake is a nice twist when it's in season. The Vanilla Celebration cake is a little too sweet for my liking but others in our household love it. Lemon cake is solid because the lemon curd is awesome, but could use more of the curd. Tropical cake is an occasional change of pace for us. Marble and Red Velvet are good, if not a bit basic.
In general, amazing and our local go-to. The staff is what really puts it over the top.

Luscious Lemon Cake
This review is for the Owner (I believe it was her) So I was parked up front of Susie Cakes and Starbucks, I was waiting to go get my coffee at Starbucks. And the owner said "Don't you see the sign, it says Susie Cakes" she was getting mad, yelled at me, causing a scene. I was parked up front of the store. In which the sign says SUSIE CAKES/STARBUCKS parking. She was so rude, I thought I would share just to get a word out about representation. Because a store manager, owner, whoever it is, should never act like a brat, about something so small and in which made noooo sense, because I was not in the wrong. I was also only there for like 5 minutes. It took a lot for me to hold back and not say anything back to her. Hope this helps.
Best cup cakes in Orange County! You come in and you feel so welcomed, really great people, we were sad when they closed during the beginning of the pandemic but we are so happy they are back. FYI the close at 5 now! Thank you Susie Cakes you made my mother’s in-law birthday!
Cake was so dense it was difficult to eat. Nobody, including my small children, finished their slice. It was expensive to begin with, and then worse than a cake one would pick up at a grocery store. The people working there were friendly and courteous, but their product is just bad.
We’re given a box of mini assorted cupcakes as a thank you, what gracious and kind thing not to mention the cupcakes were so delicious. My wife said I want a cake like this cupcake for my birthday cupcakes were very delicious to all looking. Definitely go get some and give it a try. I will try other items very soon.

And the cupcake kit for Easter was a lotta fun for the kids and even better when time came to eat them!!

Very disappointed that after paying $50 for a cake they couldn’t write happy birthday on it. You would think at a cake shop the management would train every employee to at least write happy birthday but unless there is a art director or artist in the store no one else can help with it.. Such a shame and rip-off.
