Dined at Takrai with the JW MARIOTT dining voucher that was included in our room rates. For dinner, we chose a starter, main and dessert. My Tom yum goong had 2 seriously large prawns. Followed by mains of crab curry with vermicelli noodles and finished off with a must have mango sticky rice. The other family members ordered other items and all were good. There was also a good variety of vegetarian options. Service can be a bit slow as it was a very busy night but all the staff are well trained and very helpful.

Our favorite place to eat when in JW Khao Lak. The restaurant has separated vegetarian & vegan menu with heaps to choose from. Speechless! Flawless! The Most Perfect. And Inexpensive for the quality of food, service and ambience. This restaurant deserves 7 star rating. Great ambience, great food, freshly and professionally prepared ingredient. Professional serving. What else I want! This is the very best restaurant, especially the most value driven hidden gem of town. Please try Siam Buffett on Monday, which costs roughly $30, and you'd realise this is worth over $150 in the States. We kept saying wow for two hours! Never answered the phone for a reservation. Every guest in the restaurant was complaining about the service and food Three out of four dishes were tasteless. Got our order wrong. Got the bill wrong. We attended a Thai - Japanese dinner buffet at the JW Marriott in Khao Lak. The food was really delicious, service was excellent, and ambiance comfortable near the beach. Special thanks to Tha for his exceptional service!
