Food was terrible. They must be putting on fake reviews online. Overpriced, overcooked and flavorless. Do not order food from them. Shrimp and scallop teriyaki meal was $25 and it comes with pea sized scallops. Frozen trash food reheated who knows how many times. Service Delivery Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 1

I have never had such terrible sushi before and will never go back. I do NOT recommend this place as the food is not fresh specially the fish. Even the rice wasn’t freshly made and was from days before. Barroom wasn’t clean. And right before we leave there was a horrendous smell coming out of the kitchen area (we were sitting at the sushi bar and close to the kitchen door). I was here for lunch with a friend and we had quite a bit of catching up to do. We never felt rushed at any point. We finally ordered and the food was absolutely delicious and fresh. The lunch boat was incredible and almost too much for me! Everyone here is super friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back! For about $15. 00, the lunch was fantastic! Sushi, white rice, salad soup, fried delicious "something", and beef wrapped around asparagus in a slightly sweet sauce. Hard to finish everything in one sitting. Everything tasted so good, from the plain white rice to salad dressing, as well as the size of the meal! Excellent traditional Japanese fare — the lunch menu/specials are an exceptionally good deal. Takara has two locations in MetroWest and we enjoy both of them. The Wayland location has a better sushi/drinks bar set-up, and I prefer the Medfield location dining room (more spacious and light). Ample parking at the Wayland restaurant. We loved this classic authentic restaurant! We ordered a sushi boat there , so fancy! Great chicken tempura and the chicken yum yum was divine! A direct hit with the kids. Sushi was very light and scrumptious.

My wife and I have just moved to the area and decided to try this place on a whim - we were not disappointed in the slightest. The selection of nigiri and maki on the sushi boat was stellar, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was lovely - I particularly enjoyed sitting by the fish tank! As far as particular menu items go, I found the tuna pizza to be the perfect appetizer, and my wife enjoyed the lychee martinis :) Needless to say, we're making Takara our regular date night spot. What a nice restaurant, the food was well prepared and the ingredients very fresh. The service was quite good as well. There were some different spins on some old classics that I really enjoyed trying as well. I recommend Takara, I will definitely go back.

The food was rather good, the restaurant was nice and pretty large, and the waitress we had was very nice and quick to help. We were in town for a short while, but I'm glad we stopped here. The food was really good, and some of the menu items I hadn't seen on any other sushi or Japanese food menu, which was great.

Food was excellent, our waitress was very helpful and informative when we were unsure what to order. My food arrived at the table in a hot stone bowl and as she mixed the dish together she called out each ingredient in the bowl.
