I visited Bryan earlier this year and Tavo was a highlight of the trip. The welcoming atmosphere and interesting decor and seating areas throughout the shop make this a perfect "third place" where you can hang out, work, and enjoy spending time with all the wonderful people here, all while drinking excellent coffee. The owners and employees have a passion for coffee that is front-and-center in all of the drinks they make. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu here, it's all fantastic and made with the utmost care. This is really a special place and I wish I had one back home! I'm very excited to visit the next time I'm in town. Be sure to stop in if you're ever nearby.

Great new coffee shop in Bryan. It’s got a funky feel & the coffee tastes great. They have Lofi type music playing in the background. The front section is more for reading a book or catching up with a friend. If you walk towards the back, there are some bigger tables for larger groups or studying.
I started to love craft of coffee, and Tavo Coffee is the jackpot. The pour-over coffee here is not only a rarity in Bryan/College Station but also tastes amazing. Also, the cappuccino here is by far the best tasting in the area. It's my favorite spot for working because it has such a cool vibe. Plus the coffee is 100% ethically sourced which is something I like to support.

Super cute spot in downtown Bryan. I felt like my latte had a bit of an aftertaste, but that may have just been the syrup. Great study space, with tons of seating and plenty of tables. Nice quiet place to get some work done.

I stumbled upon this coffee shop while looking for a comfortable place to work remotely in Bryan, and it quickly became my favorite spot. Not only does it offer the best pour-over coffee in town, but the variety of niche flavors keeps me coming back. The atmosphere is perfect for productivity, and I love that my coffee choices here contribute to a fairer supply chain.

I've gone here once a week for the past 6 months or so because I finally found it: the best coffee in BCS.
Other shops have good atmosphere, but they don't have four separate spaces and vibes covered in their own artwork, plants, and soundsystems. Oh, and the art and plants are for sale! This place has a unique history that you can see in the architecture all around you-- go ahead and take a seat in the vault, it's lovely.
The coffee? Have you ever said "I don't like black coffee" because when you tried it at a shop or from your keurig it was sour or bitter? Let Gustavo tell you why that happens and allow him to make you a pourover coffee-- black. I did. Turns out black coffee has taste. The words on the package mean something, and you DONT need the artificial flavors that k cups have. If you see a pour over you like, grab it right then. They go at cost and the selection changes as soon as they're out.
The lattes and cappuccinos are excellent. Of course they are. Tavo has an award-winning latte artist and house made syrups with rotating seasonal varieties. Everything is made with love and care--especially since Gustavo is a 5th generation coffee farmer.
Try Tavo. If I haven't convinced you, yet, maybe you'll go across the street during the farmers market on Saturday. It's that close, after all. They even have snacks-- sometimes homemade by the baristas.
Right when I walked through the door I was welcomed warmly. That small act goes a long way! My cortado was on point too. What is neat about Tavo (along with their amazing coffee) is there are three different rooms to study or meet with friends. Each room has their own unique vibe. Highly recommend!

Great coffee and knowledgeable, passionate baristas. The iced pourover was great. They have a nice selection of coffee to try.
The place was a little empty, but was nice for a quiet place to study. It could use some light ambient music in the background, but other that that I enjoyed Tavo.

They since revamped the place for more food options, but this was my go-to place for a smooth Americano. The couple who own Tavo source their own beans from family in Guatemala and really care about the art of coffee making. Their drinks range from delicious espressos/pour overs for people like me who just like black coffee, to those with a wide variety of syrups/milks for fun flavors. They are also really involved in the local coffee/food scene in general, so it's always fun to chat with them about yummy things in town (ask them about the taco trail). The seating is more lounge-y (as it used to be a sake bar, and before that, a bank), but there are spots for studying as well.
I feel like this place kinda gets forgotten about in the BCS coffee scene, but it definitely shouldn’t. Coffee was great and the vibe of the place was very unique. There are lots of places to sit, work, hang out, and lots of interesting decor to look at. Definitely worth a stop if you are in Bryan.
