This restaurant provides you with nice food and a place to rest after a long walk around Old Port. The menu of Italian and Mexican cuisines is to the pleasure of all visitors here. The truth is that you will really enjoy nicely cooked steamed mussels, coconut shrimps and flounder. Most guests recommend trying good flans and tasty ice cream. At Blue Marlin, guests may order delicious margaritas. Choose between indoor and outdoor seating. The energetic waitstaff welcomes people all year round. Flounder au Gratin was wonderful. Shrimp salad, garlic butter and calamari. Order a margarita. The Blue Marlin is mainly a shrimp joint. The venue, small, quaint, cozy. I had the Coconut shrimp. It tasted a bit sweet for my palette. My sweet angel daughter thought the same. The shrimp huge! The texture cooked to perfection! The shrimp quesadilla received two really goods. One from the italiana in Mexico and one from my other sweet angel daughter. The chipotle shrimp received a confident tastes good from my State 48 Tortoise loving son in law. The flounder eater in the group, my evil cowboy son in law said it was an eight. The ceviche loved by all at the table. Big hit. They gave us sourdough bread with garlic butter. A solid yum from all the family. We also had fried calamari. This, served with the ceviche and was a very distant second. The said, “it could be better”. Not a group hit. Still, check it out. It’s worth it if you want shrimp. The servers were super professional and took care of all we needed. I would return based on these solid men alone. The owner checked up on us. That was appreciated mucho! The cowboy asked the question that begs being asked: “how can a restaurant called the Blue Marlin not serve marlin? I just wanted marlin tacos.” Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Excellent service and delicious food! We had the Flounder Au Gratin and the coconut shrimp with salads. Both were ver good. Margaritas were also great, strong but not over powering. The location is not right on the water, but you can see the water and sunset. The ambiance is charming and inviting for a quaint dinner. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The Blue Marlin is a small quaint mom and pop restaurant. Compared to the Saturday night busy and loud restaurants on the Malecon, the Blue Marlin is a great diversion down a side street. The restaurant has four to five tables, and the owner oversees the flow and service provided from a table in the back of the restaurant. They have a small seafood menu primarily loaded with shrimp entrees (they also have a few stake options). There are no appetizer choices. Every guest receives a salad before their meal. Really good food. Got the clams. So good and cheap. Me and my husband got the shrimp and clam pasta and the flounder. Services was nice. We ended up feeding the cats around there. The food was great and the service better! I order Azteca Soup and Chipotle Shrimps and my husband a Flounder fill with crab. The bread was great with a garlic butter on the side and they bring a complementary Tuna smoke pâté and more Bread. Delicious!!!! This place had some of the best food I've had in a while. The chips and salsa were great but the magical garlic green sauce was dangerously addicting. I poured it on everything I ate. The staff was professional and the outdoor seating is nice. The food came out pretty quickly and everything had a nice artistic touch to it. I highly recommend The Blue Marlin for anyone in the area.
