Great bar to watch European Football. Atmosphere is top notch, and depending on the match it gets to be standing room only. Food was decent and the wings were really good. Fries are delicious as well. Good selection of beers on tap. Service is fast and there are plenty of TVs. Parking outside along the street. Definitely will be back. So, kind of stumbled across this place as I was in the mood for a burger. Very happy we did. Nice neighborhood joint with a good selection of "on tap" brews. Friendly place, not rushing you out, like some places do. Definitely has a "homey" feel to it -- great vibes! Would have given it 5 stars but the Brioche bun was a bit of a let down. CrossBar burger was really good, with the caramelized onions adding joint the right amount of sweetness, but the bun couldn't hold it together (sometimes that makes all the difference)! Next time I will be trying the roast beef, as that looked tasty too!
Nice local pub - good burger and good beer. I can’t say the selection was large but it had what you need for pub food. There are plenty of TVs to watch your favorite sport and some nice outdoor seating also. The Staff was friendly and the food was prompt. Overall I’d have a beer and burger here again when in the area!

A typical friendly but noisy local pub with a basic menu, on tap local microbrews, and decent outdoor seating that ditches the lively noise inside when you want some peace. Not bad, but not a long line waiting to get seated type of place. We walked for a late evening meal. Nice to get seated right away. Took a bit longer than expected for the food to arrive and had to beg for the check for once. I ordered the crab cakes and had a salad to sub for the fries to pair with a delicious Guinness on tap. Basic, slightly dry and not brought out soon enough as it was not hot. Wife had roast beef au jus and enjoyed it. Fries were also basic cut. Wine selection basic - 4 reds and 3 white wines I recall, wife chose water.
It was meh... Service was great and very accommodating. Roast pork was overwhelmed by the amount of Provolone. Burgers ordered medium rare arrived medium well (after resting carry-over cooked to well-done.) We were the only customers so this was not due to an overwhelmed kitchen. I guess other dishes might be better, but they are somewhat famous for their burgers. I don't get that.

I have already posted on Yelp but my experience last night was so terrible that it is still bothering me. Let me add that I have eaten at the Cross Bar a number of times before and the food and service was always mediocre. So I went with no high expectations of the place, but Cross Bar still failed miserably. My fiancé and I met friends at Cross Bar last night to watch the Phillies game. After being seated we waited a good 15/20 minutes without a single server approaching us. I had to get up and find a staff member to ask them to please send someone over. Finally after another 10 minutes a server arrived. We put our food and drink orders in. When the food arrived it was frankly terrible. I had ordered fish and chips. First the French fries were beyond salty. That was the consensus of people in my party. Two entire side orders of French fries were left untouched after just a few fries. My fish and chips was presented in a terrible fashion. First half the plate (no exaggeration) was swimming in tartar sauce. Having worked in restaurants it struck me as a method of taking up space on the plate to reduce the volume of food being served. The fish itself was a dry, thing thing that was as much batter as fish. Additionally parts of it was burnt. I also had no silverware, no napkins and had to ask for a second plate to save what I could of the dish that wasn’t swimming in tartar sauce. The entire meal was a disaster, a hot mess, a train wreck. Servers could see that I was not happy with the meal and gave not a damn. After our lovely experience we left. We had intended to watch the Phillies game, and spend a good bit of money. Instead we went over to the Manoa Tavern and gave them our business. My experiences at the Manoa are ALWAYS a full 180 degrees different. The food is typically good and the staff are as well. Eat there or anywhere else instead of Cross Bar. I would add that I never write reviews but this experience was so terrible that I felt compelled to write this review. We won’t be returning. I had not experienced service this poor in decades.
