The cooks here prepare tasty Caesar salads, bacon and beef stew. It's worth coming to this bar because of good Brezeln, ice cream and pancakes. A fantastic selection of beer and they do pints of Kentucky bourbon barrel ale! I try and get there every time I’m visiting the area. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Lots of Beer

Had the spicy chicken & vegetables & egg soup. The soup was sweet & spicy perfect blend of spices. Thoroughly enjoyed. Friend had chicken pot pie with the flakiest crust with loads of chicken. Got together with some school friends from years ago. The waitress was great allowing us to mingle in our booth. She was very chill but did a fantastic job. Popped over here on a work trip and ate at the bar. The staff seemed a little flustered as there was a larger than expected holiday party that they weren't prepared for. Service was a little slow but not unbearable. The restaurant was decorated nicely for the holidays and not overdone. You could tell that this was a local place for some folks and a place to come for out of towners as well. The chowder was tasty but nothing amazing. Warmed me up which is really all I wanted. The meatball sub was also pretty tasty, not the best I've ever had but definitely not the worst. The truffle fries were the highlight and I definitely recommend upgrading to those - worth the extra buck or two. Good food in a relaxed old pub setting. The service was friendly and attentive and the food is your classic comfort food. They have a large selection of beers on tap as well. This is a wonderful neighborhood pub. You feel comfortable the moment you walk in. Plenty of table seating and a large bar can accommodate groups of different sizes. I happened to visit while they were offering their Oktoberfest menu and the choices were phenomenal. We had only stopped in for a beer and a small bite to eat so we chose the Currywurst with pommes frites. It was very good. One star taken off as the dish was not very warm when it arrived but the taste and presentation was 5 star quality. Their beer selection is one of the largest and most varied I have seen in the south Boston area. The service was exemplary. We never waited if we needed something. They have several TV’s situated around the bar/dining room for sports enthusiasts. I will return again to explore the menu more as the choices were endless. Thank you. The lobster roll special is spectacular but it can be better. I went 3 weeks in a row and 2 of the weeks had shell in the lobster which is a big turn off. The wait staff greet you quickly but then it goes down hill from there. We waited quite a while to get our check at the end of the meal. We tried a few appetizers...calamari..it was very good. The Reuben egg roll was very good. We don't recommend the homemade potato chips...they come out cold in a paper bag and are stale. We still give them a thumbs up though. Very pleasantly surprised. First time coming here from out of state. Very spacious for bar or dining. Shocked by the quality selection of beers on tap.
