Had a great time at the Krazy Lobster! Stopped in for a few tacos and a margarita while on a cruise port day. Tons of seating, free beach access, tons of vendors that will try to sell you things while you’re eating. Beautiful scenery, food was good, service was prompt! Prices very reasonable! We absolutely enjoyed ourselves at this little spot. This is a restaurant on the beach in Costa Maya. It's a cheap taxi ride away from the Cruise Port. We were seated at a covered table right on the beach. Lounge chairs were immediately in front of us. The food and drinks were cheap! A bucket of 5 beer for $7 (smaller bottles). The food was surprisingly flavorful. My favorite was the beef quesadilla. They had bathrooms and a spot to rinse off. The bathrooms were not the cleanest but they were fine for a beach day. The only down side is all the people that come by your table to sell you things. Otherwise, we really loved our day! Very GOOD local eatery. My wife 2nd time here & she suggested The Krazy Lobster for my 1st time here for lunch. She had the Seafood Nachos. The BEST! Got off the ship in Costa Maya and went to the cab stand. A $4 ride got me there. I was greeted and lead to a lounger for no fee. They gave me a menu and that was it. I ordered a corona for $2 and this mountain of delicious ceviche for $20! The beach was nice, albeit a little crowded. The massages right nearby were only $20 for an HOUR! Krazy Lobster is a very cool place! They vibe is what you look for in a beach club. The service is amazing , you want to try about anything they offer just ask and they make it happen. We wanted to snorkel and they set us up immediately and the price was $25. Amazing massage for $25. The food was excellent ! Drinks were cheap. Even the people that were peddling goods were polite and funny . The manager met with everyone he could as they arrived, check him out on YouTube! We had a great time! Nice place at the water, even during the power cuts that lasted two days they had internet. The food was very well prepared and very nice, good taste. Nice service. And most important: it was affordable, everything is very expensive in Mahahual, but this place stayed true to the Mexican prices I know from all around Mexico the last few years. It's a nice place to just relax and hang out. There wasn't much sand area to sit on the beach. But there were lounge chairs to enjoy. We did have a dedicated waiter who was great!!! The food and drink prices were very reasonable. We weren't a big fan of the food. We enjoyed the water and free kayaks. We would definitely come back again. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Absolutely, Loved our visit! We felt safe & enjoyed our visit. We went on February 5th,2024, with no seaweed. Water was beautiful. We rented a golf cart from the red shirts to get there but you could get a taxi from the cruise port. We got messages on the beach for $20 an hour. Well worth it. Just watch your time as this is not an excursion you get through the cruiselines. It didn't cost us anything to be there, however, as long as you ordered food, you got a table and chairs on the beach. Since we rented our golf cart from red shirts, we got a free tiny lemon margarita each. They watched our golf cart at no cost. There was shops & vendors all around. If someone was selling something you didn't want, you just simply said "No, Thank you!" & they moved on. Honestly, we had a really great experience. We had a great day here! The food, drinks, and service were all amazing! There are a lot of shops along the walkway with some really nice souvenirs at good prices. My husband got a massage and said it was great. $20 for an hour. The only reason I didn't get a massage was that they do it right by the walkway. Not private enough for me, however, they apparently do a really good job! I missed out. There isn't a beach area, just a rocky entrance to a nice swimming spot. It's still beautiful! Unfortunately the food was very poor quality at The Krazy Lobster. We were excited by the reviews but feel we were misled. The beef was spongey and tasteless, the chicken was dry to the point of being inedible, and the lobster was OK. The nachos were messy but not in a good way, covered in liquid American cheese and flavourless jalapeños and salsa. The staff were all very friendly, especially the owner, Mauricio, but I cannot recommend The Krazy Lobster as a restaurant until the food quality strongly improves.
