After seeing Santa Monica Pier Aquarium, it may be a good idea to visit this bar. Nicely cooked belly pork, fried oysters and grilled octopus are the tastiest dishes. It was overpriced and overhyped. The food is not good, not memorable at all. You are paying for the location being walking distance from a lot of the hotels. A tourist trap, in my opinion. PROS: - Excellent Service: Our server was very friendly and helpful! It was our first time here, so she explained everything in detail and what dishes were popular. - Excellent food: The appetizer (charred octopus), lobster, lobster mac and cheese, and dessert (chocolate truffle cake) were very good! The truffle cake was moist and not too sweet. - Ambiance: The restaurant was very classy, and the view was beautiful. - Wait time for food: Very reasonable! By the time I was finished with the appetizer, the main dishes came right away. NO CONS! Would I come here again? Had a nice dinner there looking out to the ocean. Food was good but prices reflect the view/location. Service was great and we caught a beautiful sunset. Not too many kid friendly food options but mine liked the clam chowder and fried shrimp and calamari. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The atmosphere is great especially the scenic view outside the window however the food was not worth the money. The oysters were average and the crab dish I got tasted odd. The crab smelt like ammonia and was dry. The dip didn't taste like anything and there were clumps of hard noodles in my dish. It was over cooked...
