We found this little diner on the way back from taking my mom’s car for its emission test. @luckypennydiner is a family-owned business that makes everything homemade. I had the breakfast pizza without the caramelized onions and asked for a light sprinkling of cheese on top. I ate half and it was very good. My husband had the corn beef hash skillet. I tasted it and it was full of flavor and a huge portion. We couldn’t leave without trying one of their homemade coffee cakes. We chose cherry and it was sinfully delicious. We’ll definitely be back to this little diner. The family is so sweet, the diner is well-kept and very clean, the food is very good and the service is great. Our server was the owner’s daughter and she was delightful. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

The lucky penny is a classic good ole breakfast joint to enjoy 7 days a week! I love the chicken biscuits and gravy plate. They have homemade jams too and lots more to enjoy for your tastebuds! Come on down to the lucky penny and enjoy a warm cozy meal! Don’t forget they have a lunch menu too! Our server was so sweet and helpful! She made sure all of our requests were met and checked on us throughout our time there. My mom is vegan, but my siblings and I are not. Sometimes it's very difficult to find a place we can all enjoy, but luckily this restaurant has a full vegan menu! One of the few places we've been to that is able to accommodate this. This was a 15/10 for our party of 12. Yes, they never messed up anyone orders. And just the best customer service I have had in years. Large portions for good prices. Lucky Penny Diner has been a gem in NW Naperville for breakfast & lunch for a while now. Everything we've had on the menu has been absolutely delicious, and the service is fantastic. This is a wonderful family-owned restaurant. One of the very few places which serves vegan breakfast. We started off with Hot Chocolate which was good and then, we had a vegan frittata and a regular frittata. Both of them tasted well. They replaced mushrooms with peppers. You get hashbrowns (or fruit) and toast (or pancake) with it. With the frittata being very thick in size, the pancake & hashbrown with it, makes the overall dish very heavy. Pricing is little bit on the higher side. Service is fantastic. Staff are very friendly. I have dealt with food allergies for over 5 years now and have missed eating breakfast tremendously. We live in a rural area that doesn’t have any vegan options, so while traveling we found this gem of a place to have breakfast. Caters to carnivores and vegans alike. Because of my food allergies, breakfast is one of those meals that I tend to miss the traditional breakfast foods. I was able to have a very visually appealing and delicious vegan breakfast here and it was the most delicious breakfast I’ve had in 5 years. It was so good, I questioned multiple times to make sure it was actually vegan and I wasn’t going to have an allergic reaction. I was stuffed before I even ate 1/4 of it, but it was so good, I cleaned my plate anyways. Will quite possibly come back tomorrow for breakfast before we leave town!
