I love this restaurant! The food the service the atmosphere. The boss is wonderful he gives free soft drinks while you are waiting. We are always greeted with a smile. I travel an hour to eat here, that’s how great the food is and the customer service is wonderful. Well worth every penny! The cocktails are delicious I highly recommend the blue lagoon 😊

Chicken Tikka Masala
Some top-quality Indian food. The menu has so much variety. We ordered the paneer chili dry. The paneer was fresh and soft. The veggies were cooked perfectly, and the sesame seeds gave the dish a wonderful texture, balancing the softness of the paneer. For the mains, we ordered chettinad chicken. The coconut based curry was perfectly spiced and full of flavours. Definitely recommend this place.

LISTEN TO ME this is the best Indian restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of dining in! I have so much enthusiasm for this place I can hardly write this out properly but will do my best.. I am infact still seated within this fine establishment just to savour the time I’ve spent in here longer!
As you enter the lovely sounds of soft progressive house music hit your ears, now yes you might not think this is traditional Indian but let me assure you the sensational atmosphere this naughty lil Sunday sesh music creates is just immaculate!
The customer service is also incredible, the main man is a lovely cruisey sort of character, softly spoken and very easy going. Happy to recommend and just the type of man you could easily enjoy a long chat with on a sat day afternoon over a few beverages!
The food, well there’s not much I can say. I don’t know how this restaurant isn’t rated 5/5 stars with 10k reviews. Mrs and I had the lamb shank curry and the beef moon special curry. We enjoyed the curry’s with a side of plain rice, garlic naan and roti bread. Absolutely insane, I cannot recommend enough. When asked by the lovely humble man how our meal was I could only but smile up at him with tears in my eyes, mouthing the words “boss…boss..” and giving him a big thumbs up. What an absolute treat. Get ya self here asap folks!!!
Also, cocktails were just outstanding so get involved with a few of those too!

4.1 | ate lunch here, the dosa was delicious, everything else we ordered was good but not anything particularly standout. Good spot to come if looking for authentic Indian cuisine while in Rotorua, best we could find by a long shot. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices were very reasonable for NZ.

The best Indian food in Rotorua, NZ. We had doubts if we be able to find decent Indian food restaurant in such a remote town, but Moon eatery proved it wrong. The food had perfect Indian taste and service was indeed great. Strongly recommend and a must to visit for Indian food.

Definitely worth a visit when in the area! We went for meals twice and the service and food were outstanding! The front desk guy was extremely helpful and made some great food suggestions. Would definitely recommend and return in the future. We travel quite a bit and this place ranks very high among our preferences in the American continent and New Zealand.
