We were on a road trip, and decided to stop here for some cake and cofee. The café is cute, the decor is unique. The service not the warmest or most welcoming. Extremely overpriced. We ordered the chocolate cake and the baked cheesecake. The cheesecake tasted a little odd and the texture was not that of a cheesecake. I was sick a few hours later. Got a horrible case of food poisoning, I was violently ill for several days. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

What a lovely little stop on your way through Kakamas along the N14. I highly recommend the cappuccino and the New York cheese cake or the apple crumble! Feel free to nose around in the shop as well. The 'karringmelk beskuit' comes highly recommended, and is best enjoyed by dunking in a cup of coffee or tea. A very cute place to stop but VERY overpriced for what you get. R28 for 4 mushrooms. Lindt cappachino R48 which probably had 1 block of chocolate in it. The best cheesecake I had in years!! Friendly staff that made us feel welcome. I highly recommend them for a coffee stop. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We stopped here on the way back from the Augrabies Falls. The painted teacup pulled us in and looked really cute. The decor of this place is what males it unique, from the place setters to the teacups, through to the Portchie paintings hanging on the wall. The food was appetising and the flatbread was unique.The coffee was however average. The service gave us an unwelcome feeling as if we really should not have come in at this time. This feeling was exacerbated when the gate was locked behind us and we were locked into the premises. Overall this really distracted from the whole experience. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

Having breakfast at The Rose Cafe was really so so special. Words cannot really describe how special it was. We enjoyed everything; food, atmosphere, service and the artwork is outstanding and not ecpensive. You can skip any other place, but go and visit The Rose Café.
