We really enjoyed staying here, especially because our dog could join us. The Victorian charm is very welcoming, as is the host & owner. They serve a good coffee and breakfast! Nice & quiet at night. Super comfy beds.

Worst breakfast. Quiche was spinage and fetta. Could not find any egg in spinage. Ordered a burger no cheese. It arrived with cheese. Never again.

Great integrated relaxing and shopping experience! I could enjoy a drink at the well-stocked wine bar while my wife browsed the very charming clothing range at the boutique. We had such a good time that we stayed for an excellent dinner! What more do you need... Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The staff went our of their way to make our stay as enjoyable and pleasant as possible. The hotel and staff is extremely "kids friendly", which made a huge difference in order to relax and have some time to relax and enjoy our holiday. The room was spacious and always kept clean dry towels were always available and personal requests were complied with at every instance. Thank you Vic Hotel for your hospitality!

We stayed overnight at this hotel on a Sunday evening. It was not good value for money. The staff is friendly, but inexperienced. The hotel needs maintenance, especially in the finer details, e.g. the roman blind in our room was broken. Also, the hotel is not clean enough, the windowsills was dusty and had cobwebs. The breakfast is not great. Poor cold breakfast selection. We had to ask for butter. None on the table or at the buffet. You have to pay extra for freshly made coffee (espresso/cappucino). Staff is dressed like they are going to a sports event rather than employees at a 4-star establishment.

Lovely Victorian era hotel, upgraded to give it a modern feel, yet retains the old Victorian era furnishings. The staff were incredible, and really make you feel like family. Extremely attentive, humorous and always going beyond the call of duty to assist us (we are cyclists, so not the easiest guests). This is a great place to stay if you're pulling though Montague, and there are loads of surrounding activities to get involved in.

Despite Eskom Stage 6 loadshedding, we had a wonderful dinner at The Vic. Steaks cooked to perfection and chips awesome. Candle light lovely but will be heading back in the day to see the place fully and enjoy a coffee.

I ate at the restaurant and the service from Alvin was warm, friendly and attentive. When the puttanensca was too hot for me they quickly prepared hake and calamari, which was delicious. The owner was also friendly and went out of his way to accommodate us. This is a great restaurant sp please support them when you're in Montagu!

Management went over and beyond to accommodate our special needs as a charity. We were very impressed with all the services. And the staff were very accommodating. The location of the hotel is central and parking off road and very safe. All together an excellent stay.||||
