Hidden gem in downtown Sherman. Always a good beer to be had on tap. Cocktails are very good. Really like the atmosphere. Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Hidden gem! My husband and I had a great date night at The Wig & Gavel. The staff are so accommodating and personable. The drinks and food are different and so incredibly good. Get the bread with balsamic and olive oil! It’s delicious. The decor is fun and a conversation starter. Even the bathroom is cute and clean. Can’t wait to go back! 10/10!

Really enjoyed my first visit! Great owners and just a solid place to stop and have a pint. The bread appetizer is great to just munch on while you put a few back. Quiet spot that doesn’t fit in, and I love that!

We have visited W&G a couple of times and we absolutely love it. The best atmosphere and phenomenal drinks. The food is delicious, especially the bread and oil. Customer service is top notch and it’s small and intimate. Not loud and chaotic like the other places around town. We will absolutely be back. Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

EDIT: 20:03:14 is 8:03:14 which is the time on my receipt after I left W&G, way before they were closing. Drink didn't match the description, out of stew and the "chicken Tikka masala" was rice and sauce never found any chicken. Weirdly I thought fish and chips would have been on the menu. We did enjoy the dip and bread, and husband liked the bangers and mash. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

Went here with my buddy and his wife. The owners are super friendly and courteous. They will chat you up and keep your drinks topped off nicely. Nice atmosphere also. Who knows, you might drink with a ghost.

Great selection of beer on tap, excellent cocktails, the bartenders and owners are extremely friendly. If you go, please order the Hung Jury - a selection of three entrees - they are all divine!

Don't get me wrong, this is a great place in concept. Unfortunately it fails in execution. They don't seem to really want to be a pub, just another bar. After 6 trips to this place over the last 2.5 months, the kitchen had only been open once and they were out of potatoes and had to make some. So... The take away is if you're looking for a place to drink literally at a bar and just want bread or crackers the drinks are better than 75% of the other bars in Sherman. If you're hungry eat somewhere else. It's sad because the one time they did have food available it was amazing! But the odds of getting an excuse are greater than getting something to eat. I've officially written this off my list.

Great small town English pub near downtown. Beer, food, and atmosphere is great. The establishment is tidy and clean. The staff are friendly too and feel like family. Would definitely recommend for a visit when trying to find a new bar in town.
