This place is pretty darn good. They have authentic Mexican food while also offering Mexican-American twist, e.i., Tex-Mex. Prices are reasonable, and you get a free cup of beans with your order. Also, there's a condiment bar with cilantro, onion, pickled jalapeños, and radishes. It's a great place to grab a quick bite. So I passed like four or five different taco places because I wanted to try this one out. With Tijuana in the name I figured it has to stand up to the level of taste as if I was in Tijuana Mexico. I was disappointed they had no “arrachera” or other premium meats like the likes of “Taco-N-Todo,” in TJ. They did have a variety of meats. So I ordered 12 Carne Asada tacos, which for the price of under three dollars they weren’t bad. I would’ve liked them a little bigger tortillas but it was good value for your money. The guacamole was pretty tasty and the variety of “curtidos” was spot on! I asked for everything on the side, but when I got home and opened them, they were loaded with raw onions. In my experience, when an establishment drops a load of onions on a taco their meat is not as tasty. They could do better with their meat taste And cut down on the serious amount of onions. They throw on there. The Horchata was pretty good as a matter fact in overall, I will definitely come back to this place and try their other meats. However, I remain disappointed that it does not stand up to the level of the real Tijuana tacos. Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
Wow 🤤 this place is 💣💥 amazingly delicious 🙌🏻 I didn't have high expectations of this place but wow! I got a taco Indio and the torta hawaiiana 🤤 both were so gooood. I'm definitely coming back all the way from DTLA. Love all the grilled nopales and the guac my taco came with. My husband and my dad really like the free side of beans (frijoles charros) that are on the house while you wait for your order. The only thing that annoyed me a bit was that my order took so long to come out and people before me and after me got their orders but I wouldn't get mine. I would recommend ordering separate so they can at least give you some of the food on time and not until everything is ready. I noticed they kept serving smaller orders and not ours so that is my only complain 😢 but overall food was delish 😉
The strip of Euclid between Mission and Philadelphia might be the best Mexican food crawl in the entire Inland Empire, enhanced, without question, by the well landscaped center divider on the thoroughfare and the century old houses in the neighborhood. Amid many Euclid Avenue heavy hitters, Tijuana’s Tacos is one of the standouts. It is the current occupant of a building that has likely seen many different businesses pass through with the years. I probably should have ordered the eponymous taco al estilo Tijuana, but I have developed a recent interest in the Mexican state of Michoacan and opted for the Torta Michoacana instead. Apparently, this place is well tooled in pan-Mexican cooking because the torta is close to perfect, wanting only for sturdier bread so you don’t have to end up eating the sandwich with a fork and knife held within your lard laced fingers. Before the behemoth of a sandwich arrives, you are treated to complimentary pork and pinto bean soup, really the perfect touch of hospitality and class. It is delicious, no indifference in its preparation. The cantaloupe agua fresca was a tad over sweet. The salsas are fairly standard: one roja, one bright verde, and one murky verde. The curtidos are above par. One is fresh with raw red onions, serranos, and dried oregano. The other is vinegar pickled jalapenos, carrots and bay leaves. The torta Michoacan is a fatboy fantasy. Crisp carnitas interlocked with chewy/tender buche tucked into a sheet of ham, a mattress cover of Monterrey jack and a comforter of avocado. With all the richness of the sandwich, you’ll find yourself chasing every bite with a shovel full of curtido. You’re likely to return to the salsa bar to replenish. Tijuana’s Tacos rivals Korean restaurants with how much good food it provides gratis.
