We visited here early March 2023. Great location on the beach. Service was fantastic. However, prices are very high. We caught and brought our own fish and it was already filleted. Our captain recommend this place. They charged us 500 pesos($25) to cook the fish we provided. The fish we caught (Bonito) was delicious though. Fried was the best. I did not like the shrimp cocktail (watery) and the guacamole was bland. A Pacifico is close to triple in price.

If you come here for the shade and loungers and service, then you’re fine. The reason I rated this place so low was the food. I’ve been to las animas before and I remember the food being awesome. The food was nowhere worth the price. The coconut shrimp was bland and the batter was doughy. My cóctel de camarón needed to be doctored (I needed to add tons of lime and some maggi) and the shrimp hadn’t been cleaned . My husband liked his taco mi presidente (shrimp and beans) and his tostada de ceviche. But I think I got sick (stomach cramps and diarrhea) from the food or drink here. The only thing I had that no one else had, was the cielo rojo beers. Maybe someone didn’t wash their hands when they made them. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

March 2023 visit, Service was really slow, it took the food hours to arrive, and was just OK, you better try out another restaurant in the beach. The waiter just apologizes and says that the kitchen is under staffed. It is a shame, back in March 2022, it was very good service and food. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $900–1,000

La comida OK. La única razón porque le di un 4 de 5 es porque las tostadas de pulpo venían al tiempo y las cervezas a $50 las de cuartito. El personal muy agradable. Tienen los paraguas mas grandes de la playa, con camastro y mesa, ideal si vas con muchas personas y con diferentes gusto de como tomar el sol.
