Really enjoyed our lunch here today - both the food and wine were outstanding. Additionally, I haven’t seen a menu with such clearly defined dietary requirements which was great for me as I am gluten free. Our waiter was also incredibly attentive and friendly. Great service, amazing location during sunset. 5 course dinner set menu only partly delicious. First three dishes are uninspired, boring, without any sophisticated skills detectable. Fish was okay. I enjoyed a wonderful lunch here. The food was outstanding, only matched by the view. My only feed back is that on a hot summer day the dining space got uncomfortably warm and the experience would have benefited greatly from some air flow. Overall, thanks for a wonderful meal! The service and food was okay but the atmosphere? Not even some slow music played in the background it was just people chatting and eating I expected the experience to be that of a 5 star . Slow , soft background music but nope . Otherwise the rest was okay nothing special . The food served at the restaurant doesn’t come with wine pairing keep in mind . We went for dinner, but unfortunately, the experience was lagging behind other good restaurants in Stellenbosch. The restaurant offers a five course menu which can be extended to 6 or 7 courses. There are no à la carte options. The first course was a game fish tartare, which was bland and so tiny, that it easily fitted on a teaspoon. Second course was a watery tomato and watermelon soup. This again was no culinary highlight. For the third course, we chose the beef tartare and prawn dish. The use of crème fraîche dried up the beef tartare considerably, making it a subpar dish. The following springbok loin was delicious and the fish of the day was also nicely, executed and tasty. However, the portion was very small. The desserts were beautifully presented. Overall, we can say that the meal portions are small if not tiny. There are much better restaurant options in close proximity. We will definitely not return. Amazing execution and presentation of the 2 dishes I tasted. Excellent service as well. Really beautiful setting, try to snag a table along the large windows, with a stunning view of the valley. I will definitely go back here to try more of the menu. Enjoyed the wine tasting thereafter as well. I took a walk to the nearby deli as well. Great macarons and coffee, and with the same great service. This is a must visit in stellenbosch.

Great place with spectacular views. When we arrived at the entrance, we had an unpleasant interaction with the security guard. He was asking inappropriate questions, which made us feel profiled because they had nothing to do with what we were there to do.
