Had such an amazing experience! Took my parents out for a little spoiling and the place certainly delivered, not only, when it came to the food but with the atmosphere too. Surrounded by well kept green lawns of the Benoni Golf course, whether you sit inside or outside, you will not be disappointed. The owner is so warm and welcoming. It's like we are part of one big, happy family 🥰 it was not long after he had come to our table to greet us we realised he was once the same owner of Italian Kitchen and Grill in Emperor's palace. To our disappointment it was never the same after he had sold it. What a wonderful experience. It was such a beautifully decorated place. It is huge. We had 6 guests and everyone enjoyed their meal. I am going back there ASAP and I am ready for some of the most scrumptious gelato I have had in many years. Thanks to a lovely restaurant. A true treasure chest of dishes to make your mouth water in anticipation! The relaxed out door seating is ideal if you want to get that 'al fresco' feeling. You get an outdoor market vibe with music playing in the background. We were greeted warmly and had a friendly waitress. The menu is extensive and will definitely cater to all tastes. I was impressed with the food quality and had no complaints about any of the dishes, the meal had a sense of indulgence while still maintaining a comfort food experience. Definitely a must! We went there for my boyfriends 32nd birthday and the whole experience was amazing. The restaurant is an absolute vibe, the staff are friendly and the manager/owner goes out of his way to greet everyone and ensures that everyone has been helped and is having a good time. The food & drinks were delicious and so were the complementary desserts. It definitely spoke to the Italian in me. Molto bello!

#Delayedpost It has been years since I was last at the Benoni Country Club We decided to visit as there was a new restaurant that opened during covid, and now their deli section. Tonino Cucina & Griglia opened in 2021, as the owner Antonio wanted to bring some of Italy to Benoni, with their food being inspired by city of Naples. We ended up sitting down and just had some nibbles to try. It's an impressive space. Inside seating, outside seating, and areas which can be cornered off to have private functions and this place that handle quite alot. I can't imagine if this place is full how the staff will be getting in their steps. The staff are all friendly, the one lady took me for a tour of the space and guided me with each area saying how many it can cater etcetera. Even our waitress - Primrose, now there is a gem. She was fantastic, and gave us such great service and fun chats :-). The food we tried was • Fegatini Pomodoro - Chicken Livers with garlic, chillies and pomodoro sauce. • Crostini - 4 Bruschette, spread with creme cheese topped with classic salsa, prosciutto; bocconcini; and spiedini de pomodrini, olive tapenade, pimiento • Zucchini fritti • Polenta fritta And if you are a garlic fan check how they serve their chilli, garlic and parmesan 🥰 And of course, we had some drinks, my Cosmopolitan was good, and also the Elderflower G&T, and I think the other was a Steelworx. We then took a walk around the deli. There are so many items there. And if you love making Italian food, you can definitely get the ingredients here. We also took sardines as a takeaway and a Focaccia, confused as to why they added tomatoes to it. When it was just the basic garlic, oregano one.
