We had an amazing coffee tour, toasting and tasting with Roberto. We met at 9 am and drove up to Finca Madgalena together, where we hiked through the coffee plantage. Roberto told us about indiginous people and the environment around the vulcano aswell. We could learn a lot about how coffee plants grow and maintained, the different layers and types of coffee cherrys and the further processes of peeling, drying ans toasting the beans. Then we had a cup of coffee with amazing view of the Concepción. After that we drove to Tostadores again and toasted our own coffee! That was a great experience auf you can take that nice souvenir home. At last we had a coffee tasting where we could smell and taste 4 different coffees. Roberto was super nice to us and explained a lot; he has a huge knowledge of coffee. We would definitely recommend this tour to anybody interested in coffee! Roberto is incredibly knowledgeable and kind! The coffee tour was relaxed, informative and fun. He gave us a demonstration of coffee roasting, fully explaining the process, we toured coffee plants, we sampled a variety of beans and enjoyed all of it. Highly recommend. Roberto is dope. Did a coffee toasting and tasting with Roberto and it was excellent! We learned so much and the coffees we tasted were delicious. Definitely a must try on ometepe. Service: 5
