The Abacoa location of Tropical Smoothie Cafe is absolutely terrible! The service is EXTREMELY slow (10 minutes for two smoothies) despite there being almost no crowd. In addition, the drink I ordered, Mocha Madness, was disgusting - it was bitter and filled with chunks of ice. In hindsight, I should have ordered a fruit-based smoothie, but it is not much to expect that every drink on the menu must be prepared properly. I can’t speak to the quality of the smoothies here, only because the one time I tried to go they locked the door and had started cleaning up at least half an hour before the actual closing time. I understand closing a few minutes early, but that’s just bad service.

I would give 5 stars because every time we go to tropical smoothie my husband and I enjoy the food and the smoothies, I understand it’s a franchise however we were incredibly disappointed by the unblended smoothies we received, I had chunks of strawberries and Ice which made it difficult to drink from a straw, normally this wouldn’t happen, but whoever made our smoothies we’re not happy!
