Wasn't really sure where to eat in coromandal but noticed this place had so much seating. Front ,inside and a big area out the back so we stopped in. Food was delicious, absolutely loved the dumplings and garlic butter Mussels were amazing ! Mussle chowder was a little weird, was more like a mussel stew which was new to me. But I guess everyone has there own version. Highly recommended checking out! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This mōrena it appears that the only place open at 9am for breakfast is Umu Restaurant and Café. I did look at this place earlier in the week and crossed it off my list and should have kept it there but when your in need of some kai and kāwhe and no one else is open, beggars can't be choosers 🤣. Service was really good, but that was all, 'Big Breakfast' was really a small breakfast on a big plate. The atmosphere was really weird. There was no soul, just a weird vibe. Kāwhe & smoothie were really good. All in all, it was a very disappointing breakfast experience and not a good end to a fabulous week in Coromandel.
