Went looking in Rotas for a quick seafood fix and pulled in to valentines. To my delight they had three types of mussels to choose from and other seafoods too! Had a me a couple of plates and a refillable soft-drink. They also had a selection of other foods, soups, desserts too. Customer service was amazing and so was their hospitality.

AVOID THIS PLACE. My significant other made reservations here for Valentine's Day, attempting to create a romantic evening (bless their heart). Unfortunately, we encountered several warning signs as soon as we arrived and left WITHIN 10 MINUTES.
Firstly, the parking lot was small, grimy, and poorly maintained. Red flag no.1.
Secondly, upon entering, we were immediately asked to pay $90 upfront - another red flag. Then, upon being seated, we realized there was only a limited selection of food, none of which appealed to us and was not of a $90 service standard at all.
We were incredibly hungry after driving from Tauranga specifically for this occasion. Disappointingly, we discovered that our $90 each amounted to four stale and cold chicken nuggets, a spoonful of pasta, and one spicy chicken wing (which I refused to touch) because the rest was seafood, which I am allergic to.
Observing our surroundings, we realized we were in a restaurant inaccurately named "Valentines," more akin to a local veterans club. Elderly patrons were snorting and coughing nearby, while children screamed incessantly. It was a chaotic and bleak atmosphere, mirroring how we felt at that moment - utterly disheartened.
Deciding to cut our losses, we attempted to request a refund and return home. However, there was no staff available to assist us. We resorted to calling and requesting a refund, only to be told they would review security footage and get back to us. It has been three days, and we have yet to hear anything.
We are thoroughly appalled by this establishment and believe it desperately requires a significant update to align with modern standards. Thankfully, we were able to salvage our evening by driving home and visiting a charming Italian restaurant, where we received the dining experience we had hoped for, as "valentines" was anything but for valentines. 0 stars all around.

Food was pretty lame. Nothing spectacular at all.
Oysters were disgusting and full of shells.
Asked to speak to manager about the oysters, he sent over the chef instead and stood chatting at the bar with his colleagues.
I definitely wouldn't reccomend dinning there.
The waiters were all lovely and hard working. The stars are for the waiters and chef whom tried. Minus star for manager not caring.

11 of us booked in after a huge week of basketball and we were all hungry and being buffet was perfect. We loved that there was such a variety to suit everyone's taste and simple food for young kids. The butter chicken was amazing but my favourite was the mini carrot cakes. They were some of the best I had ever had. We will definitely be back when we come back up 🥰 price is cheap and good was great.

Best stake I've had, cooked as I wanted nice and juicy food was beautiful I recommend this place to anyone that needs ideas on where to go to for dinner, the puddings to die for . Service was grate . warm and welcoming very well polite will definitely be visiting agen soon 😁

Visited with my Grown up daughter, her husband and my 7year old.
$170 and we stayed 21mins exactly. The food selection was absolutely awful, the few things we braved tasted so bad I wouldn't have even fed the food to my pets. Upon remarking to the waiter he just shrugged and didn't care, bit dodgy charging before you've even eaten as once payments made seems they didn't give a flying hoot about feedback. Very disappointed and ended up being an extremely expensive night for dinner as we paid out twice. Beware folks

Went to Valentines for my 40th birthday upon arrival we were warmly welcomed. Our table had a balloon with Happy Birthday written on it. Yummy kai particularly the seafood... The seafood Chowder was delicious and was topped off with Rewana bread... So good!! Our waiter Jo was amazing he took really good care of us. ❤️ made my night that extra special. Thank You Jo...We definitely recommend and will be back again! 😊
I was pleasantly surprised with the food it wasn't too bad just wish there was more variety. Quite pricey tho. Service was pretty slow and felt watched the whole time which was kinda awkward. Not sure at this stage but may go back one day we are up that way again.

The staff were absolutely amazing. Customer service was definitely top notch 👌. Unfortunately the food was terrible. Was not a big selection of food, seemed to be overcooked and stale, almost as if it was a day or 2 old. But i really did enjoy the cheesecake

A good place for a get together with family as I did.
The food was presented nicely as a buffet and I am sure there is food to suite all tastes.
Overall good value for money and friendly staff.
