The Belgian waffle was pretty good. I also really enjoyed the chai. One thing that was disappointing is that the rose latte, which I did not order when I found out was from beetroot, is not actually rose flavored. In the US, I really love rose or lavender flavored lattes so I was excited thinking it may be like that but glad I checked with them before ordering. Maybe a name change or at least a solid description wherever the rose latte is would be the only suggestion for improvement.

We're from Auckland and haven't tasted flat whites this good in ages! Can see why they've won awards - we'll be back next time! Highly recommend the Lamb & Chorizo mince, Pea & haloumi, Belgian waffle w maple syrup and Granola. Kids area outdoors is perfect too and staff are so welcoming.

Wonderful cafe right next to the best lunch spot in nelson.
THE FOOD there is relatively pricey compared to the food just outside, but the desserts are always worth it.
THE SERVICE was awesome. Great feeling of professionalism and enjoyment from the staff, and the man serving us (outstanding mostache btw) even remembered my name! I feel welcomed and will be back.
THE ATMOSPHERE is bustling and bright, brought in from the busy street food carts. The seating under the sun outside doesn't have much coverage, so sometimes it's a little too hot.
I had the victus signature summer coffee. It is a short black served over ice, with a frozen strawberry and cream on the side. Deliciously bright fruity spin on an already refreshing summer drink. (highly recommended)
Overall, nice for a casual, or business meet-up, date, or just lunch. Wouldn't bring more than a few people, though, as it's always pacted!(suffering from success)

I had heard great things about the coffee here and decided to give it a try, despite the numerous cafes in the area. I must say, I wasn't disappointed; the coffee is quite good. However, the spinach bun I ordered was just okay. I would recommend trying other cooked breakfast options. The service was excellent, and they offer a variety of seating choices, including both indoor and outdoor seating. I particularly enjoyed my time soaking up the sun outdoors!

A true specialty coffee in Nelson.
Traveling around NZ, we missed having a good cup of coffee, and Victus met all our expectations. The coffee selection is big with blends and single origins and filter options, the baristas are skillful, and the hospitality is superb. Food options are also great. A must visit for coffee lovers.

Coffees are the best I've tasted, and I live in Auckland! Oh, THE DATE SCONES ARE TO DIE FOR! Warm, cozy vibe and room to sprawl outside with kids. Love the food - caters to me (who loves comfort food, cakes, slices) my hubby (who's more into keto and clean eating) and our boys (who love their cooked breakfasts). It's my go-to every time I visit Nelson.

I ordered the Eggs Benedict and it was fresh and yummy! Coffee was excellent and so was the service!
I went back for the second time and tried the Japanese okonomiyaki waffles and they were so yummy too!

I’m from out of town and went here to get breakfast on the way to my meeting. I wanted take away due to time constraints and the crew adapted the granola dish for takeaway. It was delish! Full of yoghurt, granola and fresh fruit. The crew were so helpful, it was such a delight. If I am ever back in Nelson, Victus will be my go-to.
