I bought your 600g farmhouse fruit cake from New World. It was a very sad eating experience: too sweet, dry, and tasting of preservatives. Now I see sugar is the #1 ingredient... I will have to dump it. Please review your cake recipe. Food: 1

I bought this cake from Swayne Road Seaperette,Light Fruit cake Haven't had one for ages.Usually they are really nice. This one due date 9/04/23,Is so dry and has an after taste .Luckily I had other food for our friends morning tea.Shame when they were so good.The birds are going to be happy 😊

I bought the Madeira cake from Four Square in Fairfield Hamilton. The cake was dry, stale and had a chemical taste. Not good at all. It wasn’t close to expiry either.

I bought a Genoa cake from a Wanganui supermarket. Thank goodness I didn't give it to my elderly father as I had intended. I enjoy fruit cake, but this way dry and the taste was quite awful. I could not eat any of it. I was very disappointed!

I bought the Farmhouse Cake - it is the worst cake I have had in a long time. It was so so dry and the taste wasnt great either. I wouldnt reommend it

I just bought a piece of Madera cake. The used by date was around the 17th April 2022 so thought it would be relatively fresh......No...so blimin dry nearly choked on it. So 😞. Thought it would be reminiscent of my childhood.
