We were staying at a rental in the area and stopped in for lunch it was amazing. My husband and I worked in the restaurant business for many years and seem to be super picky LOL, we were taken by surprise. He said the the collard greens were some of the best he has ever had and I know that the scallops were definitely some of the best I have ever had the shrimp as well and everything was hot. Can’t rate the food because I never got it… sat in there for an hour and only got a refill on tea. People that came in 30 minutes after I ordered received their food. Waitside is the correct name for this place. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich which should take 5 minutes to make. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Found by accident…great mistake!! Burgers were juicy…fries were good…Rueben was delish! I got water to drink…um…no. Funny taste. Prices were reasonable and their sanitation score?? 100!!! Wow! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50

Perfect name! There's not much of anything in Aurora but I'm glad Wayside is there. Pleasantly surprised, though. Great menu and the food was terrific! Definitely go there. You'll be happy. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

This place was great, at first glance it doesn't seem like it would be anything spectacular but when that food hit my tongue it was a whole different game, very delicious and definitely will return next time I'm in the area Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $1–10

Very good food at a small town place. It was packed with people at lunch from the mine, but wait wasnt long. Waitress was really working hard. Had scallops and shrimp, fries, hush puppies, and Cole slaw. It was really good. You better like your seafood fried as it's the only way they serve it I think.

Great service and good eats. Made to order home cooking with a happy and friendly server(at least mine was). The only thing I have negative to say was my macaroni and cheese was sweet for some reason or another, but hey maybe the locals like it that way.

My friends and I ate at Wayside while on vacation last week. We saw the place and thought it must be good as it was fairly busy for 2:30. Meals were reasonably priced. The food was very good. One friend had the crab cakes and said they are some of the best she has eaten. One had bread pudding and it was so good she asked to speak to the cook to compliment her. The cook said she makes everything with love!
