The food at this establishment is good. However, it is not consistently so. We have come in the evenings on Friday and Saturday nights and had good Fish, chicken or ribs. And other nights it’s barely edible. Somethings are consistently bad, like the biscuits. They sort of resemble small white hockey pucks instead of nice high, fluffy, southern biscuits. Over the last couple of months, I feel the salad portion of the bar has been scaled back to accommodate more carb options, which they definitely don’t need more of. We went for the Sunday brunch today and the first pan of macaroni and cheese which my daughter got was excellent, and 15 minutes later, when a new pan was placed, I grabbed some and the noodles were so over cooked, It was like weird greasy congealed cheese mush. The devil crabs today were pickled flavored stuffing in a crab shell without any actual crab meat. The fried pork chops are always wonderful and the nondescript fried fish was fairly good as well. The hush puppies were stone cold, which maybe that’s just a regional thing, but I’m used to them being served hot. I’ve just come to feel that the value for the cost is no longer there. Maybe they’re simply busy with catering orders for parties because it’s the Christmas season but it was seriously lacking on this trip. At our visit, the restaurant was very busy with customers (which tells me they're keeping their customers happy) and I had high hopes. The staff was attentive and polite. The cost was $15 and they do accept credit cards. We had a short wait to be seated. Unfortunately we were not impressed with this buffet. I found the pulled pork (which is why we were here) to be dry and not very flavorful. Sauce was vinegar based and spicy. Coleslaw was also bland. Amazing buffet in Florence. If you are looking for some great southern home cooking this is it. And for only about $15 per person it's a great deal as well! All the servers were extremely attentive too Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

First time here and this place stays busy but great spot if you are looking for a spot you can feed multiple pallets. They have seafood and bbq with the trimmings so come before the rush hour and you won’t have to wait. Servers were very nice and owner was a sweetheart. Love how you see family members helping out! Stay with the BBQ plates for take out. The chicken and dumplings is dumplings and gravy with occasional strings of chicken. Beef stew is potatoes and gravy. 1 piece of beef. These take-out plates are sold by weight so you are paying about $15 each for dumplings or potatoes. Well after 2 years of nagging, my husband finally talked me into eating here, and it was worth it! I am a creature by habit, and I usually pretty much stick with a place that I like, and when it comes to BBQ my go to has always been Roger's! I rate my BBQ restaurants by their liver hash which is a favorite of mine, and if their liver hash isn't great, I don't care how amazing everything else is, I'm not eating there, and this place had pretty good liver hash. Their fried shrimp was some of the best I've eaten, and fried okra, fried squash, and scallops were exceptionally good as well! There was a great dessert selection and decent salad station too. The only complaint I had was how crowded it was but you have to expect it with food this great! I will DEFINITELY be going back!! I would eat here 7 days a week if they were open. I get a take out plate(s) at least twice a week. I can't get enough of their extremely delicious food. I enjoyed our family dinner here this evening. While visiting family in Florence, they treated me to a buffet dinner. Woodstone's provided southern hospitality and delicious buffet options. This place is very popular, so you'll want to arrive early. I enjoyed the options here. There are a lot of southern classics and seafood on the menu. My favorite items tonight were: the fried squash, stuffed yellow crab, Lima beans, fried whiting and frog legs. Yes. I said it. Frog. Legs. I also had potato salad but the potatoes were undercooked unfortunately. Dessert options were very few. I went with the strawberry short cake and peach cobbler. Too sweet and not very tasty. Make this your lunch or dinner stop while in Florence. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Way too crowded in this place. They do move you through fast though to get seated..it took 15 minutes just to get through the buffet line. Food was really good. Pulled pork and ribs were the only bbq. Fried fish was ok and stuff crab was good. The hush puppies are on another level along with the sweet potato casserole. Salad and dessert bar were lacking. A couple of puddings, peach cobbler and a small chocolate cake. Also none of the food is labeled. I never saw our server as I was standing in line the whole time. Price was pretty good but looks like they charge a service charge for using your card. If we are in the area we may stop again but at a different time of day. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
