definitely my favorite place to meet friends or come by myself to sit, chat, do some writing/sketching and enjoy a warm, relaxed, yet lively atmosphere. I think Ive tried nearly every elixir they have, and theyre all wonderful. very earthy, never overly sweet, and feels like I'm nourishing myself. I usually come back to the Damiana Daquiri or the Pine Pollen w/ Ashwaganda. Their loose leaf tea selection is EXCELLENT too! If I'm feeling up for the very bitter taste, I'll also get a high-tide Kava to relax. If youre interested in spiritually at all, they have a selection of tarot cards and books to look. There is also a lovely back patio to enjoy day or night (they usually provide blankets and hot water bladders to stay cozy.) Check out their weekly events too, it can be crowded during those but if you come earlier than they start youll surely enjoy yourself. I always feel like an old friend when I visit. We love this place! My husband and I go often for a relaxing/ connective experience. The atmosphere is lovely and the teas are incredible! We signed up for a private tea tasting with Darius and it was so informative! Darius has been deeply immersed with tea his whole life and is truly an expert! The food and drinks are decent. The atmosphere is decorative and cozy. But I would not recommend the Wu Wei Tea Temple for one simple reason: they are an establishment that forces their values onto their customers and lies about their service. It is extremely manipulative and disingenuous to lie to your customer by saying you put honey in their tea when you did not, *especially* when you hold such personal beliefs about sugar. You could have simply stated upfront that you do not carry sugar or honey - and that would have been acceptable. I do not need your reasons or your fabrications for why. Nor do I appreciate the attitude and condescension I received for simply asking for honey - or the gaslighting after the fact. As an ending note, I cannot condone any establishment that would knowingly and willingly violate a customer’s trust, by lying over such a simple thing as sugar, and then proceed to lecture the customer when called out about it. If you lie about this, what other things do you lie about? Furthermore, I came here to relax. Not to be proselytized to and force-fed personal ideologies. It is obnoxious and unsolicited.
