The owner, Ms Tseng, is very kind to allow my friend who got a heat stroke to rest in her shop and custom-made drink for her to cool down and rest.
Her compassion shown through again when passer-by asked for the use of toilet, needed to discard rubbish, etc., of which she accommodated them without much fuss or hardselling her products.
Aside from that, the Sicily coffee is really refreshing and tastes good, with citrus juice. All beverages are served cold, so the shop sells only iced coffee and homemade pineapple tarts. Each beverage is priced at TWD 95.
She currently gave free tasting of their pineapple tarts. One box is TWD 480, with a "buy two free one" promotion going on. You can ask her to show photos of the home kitchen workshop, which is impressively clean, neat, and truly all natural ingredients being used in the making of the tarts (pineapplies are sourced from Hualien). Her husband is a western bakery chef, so the quality is definitely guaranteed. They are also proud of serving global customers from Asia to Europe.
Highly recommend anyone to stop by at this shop to get a refreshment and rest, which is a little bit hidden amidst the heavy crowd of Jiufen. At the time of writing, the shop has just opened for a month in Jiufen.

Ms Tseng was a very nice owner greeted us with delicious pineapple cake samples. She owns the business here and it’s easy to miss in Juifeng streets.
I highly recommend her pineapple cakes to try and take home.
