Very good sushi and super friendly service. The little robot with a cat face was even polite...lol! Worth the drive from Morro Bay to get quality sushi like this. My wife and kids paid $200 to enjoy my birthday dinner. The food had no flavor. By far the worst experience. Awkward conversations with a Caucasian cook. He was being watched by his employees for some reason that him being new obviously had to sharpen his cooking skills. We had a great experience at Yanagi Sushi! Price is accessible, the sushi is very well served, rolls are quite big and filled in with fish. Ideal portion of rice in each roll. Sashimi is great, you have to try! At the moment they do outdoors dining, you make your order and enjoy the outdoor sitting, they will call you when is ready!

Overall great just not as fresh as I would have hoped 😕. Fast service! They had a cat robot thing that was really neat seeing serve people.🤖 Yumi Yumi Roll- Overall good, kinda just an topped off California roll just missing freshness.

Also I have been to the Paso Location and Pismo and SLO. Every location is Awesome and has the same delicious items and yummy menu with friendly owners and staff! Enter what looks like an authentic looking sushi bar, like one would find in Japan. Be greeted, and seated by a hostess. Order a drink, because for the next 10 minutes you'll be looking over 3 menus. One is a 2 sided menu offering lunch specials One is a 2 sided menu offering over 20 kinds of rolls. One is the main menu offering pages of sushi, sashimi, more rolls, salads, bento boxes, poke, tempura, Korean grill, miso udon noodles, on & on. How do you decide ? Oh, don't forget about the specials of the day board. Colorful & masterfully made, arranged artfully on crafted unique Japanese plates. I choosed the Rainbow Roll, accompanied with 5 pieces of assorted sushi for $19. Which came with a mixed salad, miso soup, & edamame. What they excelled on variety and quantity. They lack, in the quality fresh diverse flavors of the ocean bounty.

The food is great, the service is great as well. However it's a bit pricey compare to other Sushi places that I've been to like Yo Sushi, Show Sushi and Kabuki. I mean it's not one of those Sushi Fine Dining Restaurants where the Sushi are really really expensive because the supplier that they use are the top ones but I feel that the price at Yanagi is almost similar to those so I find it very unusual for them to charge that much. But all and all good experience. The servers are respectful. It's clean and very quiet ambiance to dine in.

First time eating at Yanagi. Service was great, food was delicious and they did a great job accommodating our large party on short notice for a birthday.
