A Hidden Gem Inside IOI Boulevard!
👍🏼
1) Fast and attentive services
2) Reasonable and some dishes are quite tasty, such as Hokkien Noodle
3) Slightly large portion
4) Reasonable priced lunch menu
5) Easy to find seats
6) Pork lard lovers, will enjoy this place
👎🏼
7) Smoking, vaping outside, quite bad, especially when the door is open throughout, allowing the smell, smoke to enter the inside seating areas, slightly unpleasant
8) The restaurant should consider informing the patrons, how large the serving sizes, to avoid food wastage

Yilo had been on my radar for some time but I just didn't want to Grab it. So on one fine night I finally paid Yilo a visit. I ordered 3 dishes from the more extensive menu that is limited on Grab. The dishes that I ordered were not on Grab and here they are:
1. Fatty Rice
This politically incorrectly named dish is really delicious and I am triggered in a good way due to its extra large golden raw yolk and a generous amount of that crispy 'kacang' (pork lard). With a dash of soy sauce underneath, this was a bowl of rice that my mother approved and she showed it by making sure it was closed to her at all times.
2. Yilo's Beef Kuay Teow with Raw Egg
Another dish with raw egg but this time on a bed of fried kuay teow. I find this dish to be average and it did not excite my palate as much as I expected it to be. The thing about adding one raw egg is that the noodle ended up being a bit sticky and coupled with the greasiness of the noodle, the cloying feel settled in really quickly.
3. Drunken Nu Er Hong Prawn
Since I am not a drinker, this dish has probably been under-appreciated by me. It came with an intense fire that I had to ask the waiter to remove the claypot from the fire. Apparently the prawns are cooked in a special Chinese wine called nu er hong. My only knowledge of this wine is from watching TVB Kung Fu series from the 80s when I was a kid. With this wine as part of the soup, it's really sweet. And I didn't like it. The prawns though are big, fresh, fleshy and tasty. I would have preferred a savoury tasting soup that has that slight bitterness with a fragrant wine aroma of Shaoxing Huadiao Wine. And perhaps some dongguai (female ginseng) in the mix to give it that herbal taste. That reminds me of a drunken prawn dish that I used to eat when I was a kid at this restaurant called 夢景圓 in the 80s. Ok enough with the nostalgia.
There are a lot more interesting dishes on the menu that I am curious about so I will definitely give Yilo a couple of more visits in future.

I had been hearing some good reviews on Yilo for quite a while, finally got a chance to be here in this newly opened outlet.
It's a nice place for happy hour and yummy porkilicious bar snack & food, and the price is oh-so-reasonable!
The menu is so extensive, but my eyes are bigger than my stomach, if not I will really love to sample everything here. My favourites: Porky Rice Bowl, Hokkien Mee, Crispy pork belly, Nam Yu Pork and Fried whitebait.

The best hokkien mee I've had in Klang Valley so far! They have many appetisers which are equally as good. And their chilli sauce is most amazing

Nice environment, the only one with covered "outdoor", same franchise at other location either has no outdoor or non covered outdoor.
Food is same quality as other location, but A LOT less crowded as of our visit now. Highly recommended if you find other places (this franchise) are too crowded.
