The best is the fresh vegetable market on the south end of the parking lot. There is a small collection of local animals, old local tools and clothes. But the prices are very high. The local items can be found in other locations at cheaper prices. As for snacks and drinks the Family Mart right next store has similar items for half the cost. Example is the ‘Okinawan Pepper salt is 248 at the rest area and the same is 132 at Family Mart. If you are only visiting Okuma and do not have the means to travel to Nago then this place is not bad. But the prices are high.

It was a nice place to stop and get some food, and we tried the soba with the famous inobuta 猪豚. It was cheap and delicious.

Great food from all the restaurants. However, not the best hours. If you're trying to go after 1500, most likely they'll all be close. But if you can get there early enough, you will not be disappointed.

The very best of the many roadside stations along this popular, picturesque northwest driving route. Great selection of local goods and food items. Best is the Kunigawa Sweet Shop bakery with rather cheap yet delicious cake/pastry/pudding items.

Nice shop with restaurants and cafe etc. Eat at the シーサーズ shop run by an elderly couple. Their dishes are simple but delicious.

Best collection of products from Kunigami-gun. Restaurant is usually open and is hosted by locals. Outdoor burger joint features goat burgers; a rare treat!
