First time experiencing Yummy Bowl in Newport. I ordered food for pickup & my phone experience was exceptionally pleasant. When I arrived, the parking lot was easy to maneuver & very clean. Inside the restaurant I was greeted promptly & kindly. The atmosphere was spotless & very zen. When I got home & opened my container, the honey chicken looked a bit different than I’d experienced other places. I gave it a try. It was creamier & less honey sweet than I expected; it was not icky but it wasn’t great. I’ll be trying another dish in the future. The chicken inside was hot, tender, crispy outside & fantastic. So, overall 4 stars & I’ll be back to try something different and reassess. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Stopped in with the kids for dinner. Friendly staff, we were sat quickly. Drinks arrived fast. Strawberry lemonade was a big hit with the kids. Portions were very large! We split a sweet and sour chicken dish between the 3 of us and had a full portion left to take home. Also had the spring rolls. Food was delicious! Refills were very timely as well. I came to this establishment for lunch today with a friend. I have NEVER been here and wanted to try their food. My friend ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken. I ordered the Chow Fun with Chicken and No vegetables. The waitress brought out our food, and my didn't look like what I was expecting, but I tried it anyway. I did not like the taste or texture. I pushed it to the side. The waitress asked me what was wrong. I told her that I did not like it. She asked why, I told her I just didn't. She took it away, as she took it away my friend saw her take a bite of my food she took away. She came back out and told me everyone in back tasted it, and it tasted good to them. She then asked me what could be changed for the next time, I told her idk, and I felt on the spot." She then asked if I was going to order something else I said I didn't know. When she came back she told me if I didn't like what I ordered then maybe I shouldn't order any more food. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED LIKE THIS!!! You do not tell a customer, "If you don't like our food, then maybe you should order anything else." Trash! This place was horrible. I am not sure how the food can be steamy, yet cold. Everything was salty and flavorless. The egg fu young was mushy. I took about 2 bites of everything and could not finish the food. They still charged me full price. It was a bunch of kids working. The service was terrible. Wow! I usually walk out of most Chinese restaurants regretting it. Either because the food was awful, not enough, or the service was poor. Or a combination of them. My family and I were pleasantly surprised! The portions were massive. The orange chicken pieces were about double the size we are used to seeing. And good chicken breast as well. We also got a honey glazed chicken that was tasty (not as much so as the orange chicken, but still Yummy, just like the name of the place….see what I did there?). The noodles and fried rice were decent enough, and the service was both friendly and excellent. Overall, my family and I were hangry, and this hit the spot. Glad we stopped by on a whim! Service could be a little better but the overall quality and flavor of the food gives it 5 stars. They we're pretty busy so it's understandable they missed refilling our drinks. Staff was still friendly and welcoming even though they were busy. Food portions were excellent. I'd recommend any of the lunch combinations served before 3:00. 6/22/2023. This place is still one of my favorites for Chinese. Lots of good food, affordable prices, and fast and friendly service! By far one of the worst restaurant experiences in my 78 years. My partner had an off taste fried rice with beef, chicken and shrimp, barely improved with soy sauce. I had the beef and shrimp teriyaki. The spongy beef was awash in what was supposed to pass as teriyaki sauce. The photos show what was sent back to the kitchen. Very Tasty food. My wife and I had the Kung Pao Scallops. They were crazy good! We also ordered some lo mein noodles to go with it, which were good as well. Great place to eat. We will go back.

I love this place so much! I go here daily with my mom and dad. Considering I am a grown women who is a only child this place is my safe place. My family of 5 LOVES to get yummy bowl to go after a long day of playing outdoors. The food is always hot and tasty when we dish it up at home. Sweet and sour chicken is great. I love the beef lo mein. Spring rolls are delightful! So crunchy on the outside and perfectly cooked veggies inside. Crab puffs, perfection! American Chinese food win! We get two orders of sweet and sour chicken because we like leftovers (ps, spend the extra $2 for the pork fried rice) . Definitely feeds our family of 5!
