Apparently this place will be closing soon, once Chef Zhong retires. Which is whenever he feels like it, at this point.
Restaurant is named after the owner, who is also the chef. My friend who lives in Hualien brought us here. Authentic in nature, it was full of teachers that teach in schools around the area. High standard kind of place. Always full of people, too.
Tons of varieties of beef noodles. The most popular broth that runs out before the end of the night is the clear broth, not the soy sauce broth. The soy sauce broth has a stronger flavor, but the clear broth has a more rounded flavor and is more satisfying.
You can order any bowl ramen wheat noodles or bean noodles.
Cold dishes of tofu noodles, boiled egg + seaweed + tofu, cold steamed broccoli available, just grab whatever you want and they will charge you in the end. Grab your drinks too, located near the kitchen entrance. They have beers available.
We had a great meal here. You have to fill out your order on the menu card. You get up to get your own drinks and sides. The comdiments they make are amazing. Their beef is delicious in an amazing soup broth with decent noodles.
